Reformatting things

I finally upgraded my operating systems! I’ve had these for a while, but I’ve been holding off on installing until Apple did proper Windows 7 support, and I wasn’t at a critical point in a project. I reformatted my iMac and I’m slowly putting things back on it. It feels good to have a working Windows setup again, and I’m going to play some games on Steam tonight to celebrate. I almost never play PC games, so this should be interesting.
Some sad news, I’m no longer working on Minecraft. Markus and I have have been working together on this, but it just wasn’t coming together. I kept on running into technical problems with the export process, and Markus wasn’t used to having to wait for art assets. Markus is going to be doing the artwork on his own now. I’m still excited to see where Minecraft goes, and I know Markus will do a great job with it.
I’m settling into my new projects now, and next week will be busy-busy as I get prototypes going, and work on artwork too. I hope to announce my next project within the next couple of weeks, so watch this space.
I’m still accepting donations to help send me to IGF next month! Please help out if you can. Thank-you to everyone that has donated so far – it’s looking promising that I’ll be able to go!
I think tonight I might play Dragon Age Origins. Markus seems to recommend it, and I’ve never played a Bioware game before. I’m a bit scared of the art and stats and menus, but I should push through it.
