Help me fly Tumbledrop to the IGF

Tumbledrop has been chosen to be finalist at the Independent Games Festival 2010. I’m really happy about this, and I’ve always dreamed of entering the competition and attending the show. As a finalist I am granted access to IGF and GDC, and I already have my ticket for these. However, I simply can’t afford the trip! I’m a full-time indie game developer, so my income is limited. The flight and hotel costs are way out of my budget, and right now it seems that I am unable to go… unless you help me!
Please donate any sum, $1 or more, to help me fly to San Francisco and take Tumbledrop to IGF.
Donations of $10 or more will be credited as a Patron in the next iPhone update of Tumbledrop.
Donations of $25 or more will be credited in bold, and also be given special thanks my next (as yet unannounced) game, due mid 2010.
I would really love to attend the Independent Game Festival and GDC in March, and I’d especially like to be meet some fellow developers in America, but without your help I won’t be able to attend.
Also, I’ve put Tumbledrop on sale for on sale for 50%, so that’s just US$0.99! I’ll keep it at this price until I’m able to afford my trip to San Francisco! Thanks to everyone with your support, it means a great deal to me.

Hey buddy,
If your game was due mid 2009, you’re a bit late!

hey – stop in LD and talk to PoV about hotels. he found a pretty cheap one. Also you might wanna find someone to room with, that’ll cut the price a bit more.

Hey Hayden!
I love your work and am definitely going to donate.
Sorry, it going to be under 25, but over 10 most likely. Normally my father won’t let me use his creditcard for donations, but I think I can persuade him for this one. I really want you to be there. =]
The donation will be in about a week, (At this moment I’m broke because I can’t acsess my bank account, I forgot my PIN…)
Also is there an email adress I can write to?
I have a few suggestions…

Ooh, I hope you can make it to IGF!
I can’t really donate right now, but I’ll take this opportunity to buy the iPhone version of Tumbledrop.
Provided you’d be comfortable with slightly funkier lodgings, what about a hostel or staying at someone’s house? That might help make the trip more affordable. There are a number of IGF attendees staying at hostels, and there are others who live near or in San Francisco who might be willing to put you up. Of course if you’d be more comfortable in a proper hotel, that’s understandable.

I’m definitely looking into whatever cheaper accommodation options there are, I just hope I can raise enough to come along. Thanks for the support !

As a quick followup, I wanted to say I’m really liking the iPhone version of the game! I love how high quality it is. This is inspirational stuff.

Hayden,
The link to the App Store in this page is broken (with Safari and MacOS). I just get a new tab with a 1×1 pixel and no redirect.
Check out the Good Hotel for GDC. If you can share it with someone else, you can get some really cheap rates (that’s where I’ll be staying
Good luck!

I just donated to support Gamam4, but if you need any help while out here (car ride from/to the airport?) get in touch! I’d be happy to help if I can.

it is interesting and informative article. This has been very helpful understanding a lot
of things. I’m sure a lot of other people will agree with me.
